While Our time has just started, We must look to the future and secure heirs to the Alpine Throne.
Our tournament will be fought standard double elimination, An Tir shield standards, weapon length limited to weapons under 5 feet.
We will be requiring physical letters of intent, due the morning of the tournament. We also wish to have lots of pageantry so banners and a personal herald to extol the virtues of their chosen pair will be necessary.
We are looking forward to a great tournament to choose Our successor.

Due to rising COVID numbers, we have decided to postpone Summits A&S and Bardic Championship by 2 weeks.
The new date will be March 5th. The site will be in Southmarch:
Scottish Rite Temple
632 Walnut Ave
Klamath Falls, OR 97601
The A&S championship will be run a bit differently this year. Rather than the traditional format, entrants are asked to bring examples, completed or not, of everything that you do. Each entrant will have space to spread out and display their portfolio of work in the Arts and Sciences. Documentation is always good, but don’t get too stressed out over it.
We are striving for the event to have more the feeling of an Arts & Sciences Fair than a traditional competition…kind of like a Summits version of Athaneum. . We will not be using the standard judging sheets as they do not really lend themselves to this format. There will be one set of judges who will visit and chat with all of the entrants in a low stress fashion. The judges will consider each entrant’s quantity and quality of work, their ability to discuss and show their work, and their depth and/or breadth of involvement in the Arts & Sciences. They will discuss all the entries and recommend a new Champion to Their Highnesses. And (of course) everyone in attendance will be invited to peruse the displays and geek out with the entrants as they wish.
Notes:
Entrants need to inform Their Highnesses and The Alpine Scholar of their intent to enter the competition ASAP; but no later than Friday, Feb. 4th (please don’t wait that long, we need time to prepare). Email summitscoronet@antir.org & oriole005@gmail.com
For the Bardic Championship, each entrant should prepare three performances. They will all perform in each of the first two rounds. The best performers will go on to a final round where the winner will be decided. We are not requiring formal documentation, but do want the entrants to provide a document with a brief description of their performances along with any lyrics, poetry, or prose associated with the performances. Email your intention to enter by Feb 4th to summitscoronet@antir.org.
We are looking at what options that will be available to make this a hybrid event, so that people can participate in the entries and judging online if they are not able to make the event in person. More information about that will be forthcoming.
