Awards and Orders 2
The lowest level of armigerous rank awarded by the Crown generally to those who have become recognized integrated participants in the Society. The Crown of An Tir has granted Principality Coronets the privilege of bestowing AAs/AoAs to subjects of Their Principalities in the name of the Crown. Those who have achieved an Award level rank are given the title of Lord or Lady.
Grail of the Summits
This award may be given by the Coronets for notable contributions in the Arts and Sciences, Service, or Martial endeavor. Recipients may wear an argent grail pendant with colored field (gules for Service, vert for Arts and Sciences, sable for Martial) on a beaded necklace. Due to the varied nature of the award, one of each may be given to the same recipient.
Order of the Bezant
Given to merchants who make outstanding contributions to the Principality or the Coronet. The token for this award is (Fieldless) On a chalice azure five bezants in annulo.
Die Gesellschaft von den Güldenen Sternen
(“Order of the Golden Stars,” formerly “Aurum Astra”)
Given to children (5-11 years of age as a guideline) who are deserving of reward for their contributions to the Principality.
Astrolabe of Saint Brendan
Given for traveling
Given by the Coronet to recognize those members of the principality who travel great distances and represent the Summits to the Knowne Worlde in an honorable fashion. Originally named the Far Voyager, then the Aurora, and finally the Astrolabe of Saint Brendan.
Friend of the Summits
Given to non-residents (those outside the Summits) who make great contributions in support of the Principality. Recipients are entitled to wear the symbol of the award, an argent grail on an azure field.
Gryphons Talon
Given to fighters to recognize their prowess and ferocity on the field of battle.
Joy of the Summits
Bestowed upon those who, through self-less acts of kindness and service, bring joy and happiness to the presence of the Coronet.
Tiger of Saint Francis
(formerly “Bengalguard”)
Bestowed to recognize those that care deeply and work for the care of animals.
Silver Sleeve
Given to the Consort whom show exemplary inspiration for their fighters.
Gryphon and Grail
Bestowed upon an individual who has shown extreme chivalry and courteousness as well as a general concern for all persons around them.
Order of the Wings
(Polling Order)
Accolade bestowed upon an individual who, despite overwhelming odds, pursues and displays thoughts, words and deeds that are inspirational
to the Coronet and Populace of the Principality of the Summits. This is a Polling Order and given with the concurrence of the Coronet. The
accolade may be given once per reign.
Order of the Summits
(Consulting Order)
This award is given no more than once per Coronet reign and need not be given every reign. It recognizes extraordinary contribution to the
Principality and Populace of Summits. Companions in this Order must be consulted by the Coronet for advice before invitation is offered to a
new Companion.
