While Our time has just started, We must look to the future and secure heirs to the Alpine Throne.
Our tournament will be fought standard double elimination, An Tir shield standards, weapon length limited to weapons under 5 feet.
We will be requiring physical letters of intent, due the morning of the tournament. We also wish to have lots of pageantry so banners and a personal herald to extol the virtues of their chosen pair will be necessary.
We are looking forward to a great tournament to choose Our successor.

Due to rising COVID numbers, we have decided to postpone Summits A&S and Bardic Championship by 2 weeks.
The new date will be March 5th. The site will be in Southmarch:
Scottish Rite Temple
632 Walnut Ave
Klamath Falls, OR 97601
The A&S championship will be run a bit differently this year. Rather than the traditional format, entrants are asked to bring examples, completed or not, of everything that you do. Each entrant will have space to spread out and display their portfolio of work in the Arts and Sciences. Documentation is always good, but don’t get too stressed out over it.
We are striving for the event to have more the feeling of an Arts & Sciences Fair than a traditional competition…kind of like a Summits version of Athaneum. . We will not be using the standard judging sheets as they do not really lend themselves to this format. There will be one set of judges who will visit and chat with all of the entrants in a low stress fashion. The judges will consider each entrant’s quantity and quality of work, their ability to discuss and show their work, and their depth and/or breadth of involvement in the Arts & Sciences. They will discuss all the entries and recommend a new Champion to Their Highnesses. And (of course) everyone in attendance will be invited to peruse the displays and geek out with the entrants as they wish.
Notes:
Entrants need to inform Their Highnesses and The Alpine Scholar of their intent to enter the competition ASAP; but no later than Friday, Feb. 4th (please don’t wait that long, we need time to prepare). Email summitscoronet@antir.org & oriole005@gmail.com
For the Bardic Championship, each entrant should prepare three performances. They will all perform in each of the first two rounds. The best performers will go on to a final round where the winner will be decided. We are not requiring formal documentation, but do want the entrants to provide a document with a brief description of their performances along with any lyrics, poetry, or prose associated with the performances. Email your intention to enter by Feb 4th to summitscoronet@antir.org.
We are looking at what options that will be available to make this a hybrid event, so that people can participate in the entries and judging online if they are not able to make the event in person. More information about that will be forthcoming.

Summits!
With today’s announcement that August events, along with September Crown, are cancelled, you may be wondering what is happening with September Coronet.
At this time, we are continuing to plan for September Coronet as if it will occur as scheduled. We are also making plans on what to do if Coronet can not be held as planned.
Please join us on the evening of July 21st and we’ll share a few stories, answer any questions you may have, and provide the latest updates.

Greetings Summits!
An Tir announced the cancellation of September Crown and the further cancellation of all events through the end of August. Other activities are under review and we can expect to see a separate announcement.
Kingdom of An Tir,
As Interim chair of An Tir’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Council, it is my pleasure to announce that the Honorable Lady Aenor de Pessac will be stepping in as our official chair effective immediately. I will continue on as a general member of the Council. It has been an honor to serve the Kingdom as Interim and I look forward to continuing to work on the Council under Aenor’s leadership.
Hear the words of the new chair of the EDI Council:
“Greetings, An Tir, I am Aenor de Pessac, your new EDI Council Chair. The mission of the EDI Council is to promote the values of inclusive excellence throughout the Kingdom. My goal as the new chair is to support the populace and the members of the Council in working together to achieve that mission. My modern background is in project management, and this experience paired with my deep personal commitment to equity and inclusion are what made me interested in doing more for our Kingdom and our Society. As chair, I want to increase the communications and transparency around the work and role of the council. I also want to improve the awareness and accessibility of the resources and support provided by the Council. It is critical that we all play a role in ensuring the Dream is available and accessible to everyone, for this is how we will keep the Dream alive not just for ourselves, but for future generations.”

Hey Summits! Looking for something to do on Thursday at 7pm? We will be hosting a round table style conversation on zoom in an AMA (ask me anything) format. All in the summits are welcome and we will try to answer any questions you may have.
Garb is requested but not required.
Greetings Summits!
The Kingdom of An Tir announced the continued cancellation of all events and activities through the end of July. Follow the link below to see the words of the Crown and the Kingdom Seneschal announcement.
Hello Summits!
Due to the ongoing pandemic related restrictions in our Principality we requested, and were granted, a variance to cancel June Coro-vestiture.
The variance extends our reign until September Coronet. We will be requesting another variance in August to allow our heirs to step up at 11th Night in December. We expect the additional variance request to be approved but want to you to be fully aware of where we stand.
We have made this plan to get back to a normal schedule and allow our heirs to properly step up and hit the ground running. We will post more information once we have it.
Miss you all,
Kenric Maur & Dagmar the Red
Prince and Princess of the Summits
