New Principality Chatelaine Needed
Greetings members of the Summits. We are in need of a new Principality Chatelaine. This is a vital role that supports the growth of our principality by welcoming and guiding newcomers into the SCA. If you have a passion for outreach, a welcoming spirit, and a desire to help new members find their place in our community, we encourage you to apply!
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for newcomers to the Summits, providing them with guidance and resources.
- Support local branch Chatelaines in their outreach and recruitment efforts.
- Assist in the creation and distribution of newcomer materials.
- Maintain communication with the Kingdom Chatelaine and report on principality-level newcomer efforts.
- Promote inclusivity and ensure that all newcomers feel welcome and supported in their SCA journey.
Requirements:
- Be a paid member of the SCA in good standing.
- Live within the Principality.
- Be able to serve a two-year term.
- Have reliable internet and email access for communication and reporting.
- Have good communication skills and a welcoming demeanor.
Interested individuals should submit the following to Their Alpine Highnesses and the Principality Seneschal.
- SCA and modern name
- Membership number & expiration date
- A brief SCA resume (relevant experience, offices held, event involvement)
- A short letter of intent outlining why you are interested in the position and what you hope to accomplish
